Ingredients

- 2 pounds sirloin or chuck steak, cut into cubes
- 4 medium potatoes, chopped into chunks
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup cooked bacon bits
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Layer half the potatoes in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Add half the steak pieces, seasoning with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Add a dollop of butter and half the cheddar cheese and bacon.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, steak, and toppings.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours until steak is fork-tender.
- In the last few minutes, add more cheese on top to melt.
- Stir everything and taste for seasoning before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, broil the cooked dish briefly for a crispy top. Feel free to add jalapenos or other preferred toppings.
