Description

A cozy and hearty dish combining steak, potatoes, cheese, and bacon, all cooked in a slow cooker for a hassle-free meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds sirloin or chuck steak, cut into cubes
  • 4 medium potatoes, chopped into chunks
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked bacon bits
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Layer half the potatoes in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Add half the steak pieces, seasoning with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Add a dollop of butter and half the cheddar cheese and bacon.
  4. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, steak, and toppings.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours until steak is fork-tender.
  6. In the last few minutes, add more cheese on top to melt.
  7. Stir everything and taste for seasoning before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, broil the cooked dish briefly for a crispy top. Feel free to add jalapenos or other preferred toppings.
